The UK’s energy crisis began in August of 2021 and is showing no signs of abating. There is now even talk of rising gas prices creating a ‘national crisis‘ (as if we didn’t have enough crises to deal with at the moment).

Last month Joseph Baines and I wrote an op-ed in The Guardian calling for the energy sector to be put back into public ownership. We wrote the article on the heels of the collapse of Bulb Energy, the seventh largest gas provider in the UK.
